Santa Rosa students win Earth Day Poster Contest

MILTON — In celebration of Earth Day, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Northwest District invited Santa Rosa County fourth- through eighth-grade students to creatively illustrate the importance of safeguarding Florida’s natural resources and enhancing its ecosystems.

Layla Brown, Annasyn Adkinson and Breannah Kersey, all from Santa Rosa County schools, won first, second and third place, respectively.

The posters were judged on how well they portrayed an Earth Day message, artistic merit, originality and neatness. You can view winning posters on the department’s Facebook page

This is the third year the DEP Northwest District has organized the Earth Day Poster Contest for students in Santa Rosa, Bay and Leon counties.
