MILTON — First United Methodist Church of Milton and the Society of St. Andrew will participate in the Santa Rosa Day of Service.

The society will deliver a tractor-trailer load of carrots in bulk to be repackaged for distribution to agencies that feed needy Santa Rosa County residents.

More than 100 volunteers are needed for this project; they should arrive 8 a.m. May 6 at First UMC, 6830 Berryhill St., Milton. Children ages 10 to 18 are welcome if supervised by a parent or guardian authorized to sign their permission slip. Volunteers should furnish their own work gloves and wear closed-toe shoes.

To register and sign up for a free T-shirt, call the church office, 623-6683, with the names and shirt size of those in your group.
