Santa Rosa to participate in Great American Clean-up

[Special to the Press Gazette]

The Santa Rosa Clean Community System Inc. will be joining the rest of the Keep America Beautiful Affiliates and volunteers across the nation and conducting its own county-wide clean-up this Saturday, April 22.

“From our pristine beaches and bays to the south to our beautiful farm lands and forests to the north we are fortunate to live in such a wonderful place,” a media release states. “Please join the effort in our celebration of Earth Day this Saturday and choose an area in our county to clean up.

“Any public area (road, park, boat landing, etc.) or any area that is an eyesore in our county is fair game for the clean-up.”

Dumpsters donated by Waste Pro will be provided at four locations:

Milton: Green Up Nursery, 6758 Park Ave.

Bagdad: Oyster Pile Boat Ramp, 4566 Water St.

Munson: Blackwater Baptist Church, 11689 Munson Highway

Floridale: 11601 Bliss Way

You can pick up supplies, (trash bags, bottled water and safety vest) at the Green Up Nursery this week or at the Dumpster locations on Saturday.

Blackwater Pyrates and the Santa Rosa Board of County Commissioners are helping with this cause.
