Kiwanis members learn about the oil industry

Bonnie Holt, president of Santa Rosa Sunrise Kiwanis, presents a Milton Pride tag holder to recent guest speaker Sam Mullins. Mullins — who has been in the exploration end of the oil industry for 35 years — explained the different types of drilling. He shared the pros and cons of drilling in state and off shore, and talked about revenues provided to the states. Mullins also explained that 47 percent of each barrel of oil goes into petroleum products. Sunrise Kiwanis meets 7 a.m. Wednesdays at Tanglewood Golf Course. [Special to the Press Gazette]
