PENSACOLA — Race and Reconciliation will host a discussion titled, "White Privilege," featuring Dr. Chris Cotten from the University of West Florida’s Department of Social Work.
The event is set 6-8 pm. Thursday, April 20, at the Bowden Building, 120 Church St., in downtown Pensacola.
“Cotten will present a program examining concepts of white privilege, micro-aggressions and other behaviors or attitudes which are often unconscious to those who benefit from them, but powerfully disadvantage members of marginalized populations,” an event media release states.
Discussion will follow the talk.
Parking is available on the historic district’s streets or in the lots at the corner of Tarragona and Government streets and Commendencia and Main streets.
