PACE — Pace Rotary's collaboration with Manna on a grant project proved successful, according to a spokesperson tied to the effort.
The club partnered with Manna, which offers Santa Rosa and Escambia children and senior citizens emergency food assistance and engages the community in the fight against hunger.
Rotary volunteers sorted and packed 124 backpacks with seven meals and snacks for needy Santa Rosa County students.
Members then delivered 107 pounds of food from a food drive they held, along with a check from their club and $165 in individual donations.
Pace Rotary meetings are set 7 a.m. Thursdays at Stonebrook Golf Club, 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace.
