PACE — Pace Rotary’s March 30 meeting featured Charlie Driver from Gulf Power Company, who discussed plug-in electric vehicles, particularly their jump in sales, competitiveness of market, rate of travel and the cost of residential recharging plug-in stations.
Driver spoke with the club about the 33 percent sales increase since 2015, and four advantages to owning a PEV: fuel maintenance and savings, access to high occupancy lanes in major cities, the convenience of charging at home overnight and the pleasure of the drive.
Pace Rotary meetings are set 7 a.m. Thursdays at Stonebrook Golf Club, 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace.
