GULF BREEZE — The Japan Language and Culture Community Group will present a children’s day celebration.
The event — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 at Saint Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Gulf Breeze — will feature food vendors selling cotton candy, bento boxes and green tea; carp streamer painting and a coloring competition for children; Japanese language workshops; bonsai and flower arranging; demonstrations in Okinawa Ryukyu dance; rice cake making; and karate. The public may attend at no charge.
