Brown turns 80 years old

MILTON — Loved ones are celebrating Margaret Aline Brown’s 80^th birthday.

Margaret was born April 5, 1937, in Santa Rosa County. She married Earl Brown and is the mother of two sons. She’s a grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law.

Margaret, who retired from the Santa Rosa County Clerk of Courts Archives Division in July 2016 at age 79, enjoyed this job because she had firsthand knowledge about this county.

“Her wealth of information was an asset to the clerk’s office,” a former co-worker said.

Margaret worked as a title searcher for many years. She also served as a dispatcher, a caregiver for her parents, and returned to work as a clerk for the last 20 years before retirement.

She now has time to enjoy one of her main hobbies, which is gardening.

“Margaret, your friends in the Santa Rosa County Archives Division would like to wish you a very happy 80th birthday,” Suzie Cariglino said in a statement.
