1. ATTEND THE FAIR. Visit competitive exhibits, see farm animals and enjoy amusement rides at the Santa Rosa County Fair. The event is set March 31 to April 5 at the Santa Rosa County Fairground, 8604 Bobby Brown Road, Milton. It opens 5 p.m. to midnight Fridays, noon to midnight Saturdays, noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 5-10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Admission is free for ages 5 and under, and $5 for anyone over age 6. Rides cost $1 per ticket or a package of 32 tickets for $30. Armbands cost $15 on Thursday and Friday, $20 on Saturdays and $12 on Wednesday and Sunday. 2. SHOP LOCAL. Sand Dollar Plaza's monthly celebration and outdoor marketplace will offer shopping and food 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1 at 1900 Highway 87, Navarre. 3. GO HORSEBACK RIDING. Spirit Stables’ grand opening is set 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1 at Spirit Stables, 9886 Jeno Road, Milton. This event is open to the public, and attendees can take a tour, play games and horseback ride.
