MILTON — Majors Home Improvement is celebrating 20 years in business with a Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony.
The event is set 8:30 a.m. March 28 at Majors Home Improvement, 6433 Old Highway 90 in Milton.
The family-owned business specializes in vinyl replacement windows, entry doors, hurricane shutters and vinyl siding, sunrooms, screen rooms, patio covers and pergolas.
BBB seeks nominees for ethics awards
PENSACOLA — The Better Business Bureau Foundation serving Northwest Florida seeks businesses and charities to participate in its 12th annual Torch Award for Ethics program.
The award publicly recognizes businesses and charities that maintain a commitment to conducting ethical business practices. Self-nominations are encouraged.
BBB accreditation is not required to enter; however, applicants must be physically located within the 14-county service area of BBB|Northwest Florida. Charities must have participated in BBB|Northwest Florida’s Charity Review Program within the past two years.
The BBB will contact all nominees for an on-site visit. This allows entrants to showcase the ways they incorporate ethics and integrity into their business practices.
In addition, the BBB Foundation will award the Customer Service Excellence Award to individuals who go beyond in their customer service activities. Student Ethics Scholarships will be awarded to high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate leadership, community service and overall personal integrity.
March 31 is the application deadline for all awards.

Drought loans available in West Florida
ATLANTA, Ga. — Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and small businesses engaged in aquaculture, along with private nonprofit organizations.
The loans are available in Escambia, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties for those affected by the drought that began on Nov. 29, 2016.
The loan amount can be up to $2 million with interest rates of 2.5 percent for private nonprofit organizations and 3.125 percent for small businesses, with terms up to 30 years. Eligibility rules apply.
Interested residents can use the electronic loan application on SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
Disaster loan information and application forms may also be obtained by calling the SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
Completed loan applications must be returned to SBA no later than Aug. 8.
