Milton’s Hanks joins Defenders football program

SIOUX CENTER, IA — Cody Hanks, a senior from Milton, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Hanks is a 6-foot-tall, 295-pound offensive lineman who served as team captain four years and was named team MVP in 2016 and was a Subway All-American.

"It's hard to find offensive line guys of Cody's quality. Big, strong, athletic guys like Cody are in high demand in the recruiting world. Cody brings a tenacity and a work ethic that will make him a great addition to an already strong offensive line," Dordt College coach Joel Penner said.

Cody, the son of Rodney and Samantha Hanks of Milton, plans to study Sports Management and Education at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
