1. LOOK FOR A JOB. Anyone interested in securing a teaching position for the 2017-18 school year can attend a hiring event, Teaching Spots and Flip Flops, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Holley-Navarre Intermediate School, 1936 Navarre School Road. Dress in casual attire and bring copies of resumes, transcripts and teaching certificates.

2. PLAY KICKBALL AND RAISE AWARENESS. Santa Rosa County’s Students Working Against Tobacco will hold a free, exhibition kickball event from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 8604 Bobby Brown Road in East Milton. SWAT members from six Santa Rosa County schools will present Kick Ball for Kick Butts Day. They will highlight the importance of tobacco-free parks and recreational programs, how Big Tobacco targets youths as “replacement smokers,” and the dangerous effects of second-hand smoke.

3. WATCH A HORSE RIDING COMPETITION. The Blackwater Saddle Club will hold a play day consisting of various horse riding competitions. The show starts at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the June Ates Arena, 8600 Bobby Brown Road.
