SPEAK OUT: Thoughts on courthouse locations and Milton's traffic

Here are featured comments from our Speak Out hotline, discussions on www.srpressgazette.com and its sister websites.

POTENTIAL COURTHOUSE LOCATIONS

Why not by the jail? 47 acres have been offered. Highway 87 connects, soon to be totally four lanes and not with an overpriced toll bridge. Also saves money with regards to cost to transport inmates.

Not a flood plain.

Why is there such a lack of common sense? So sick of SRC politics.

NO TO THE ‘FELON DISTRICT’

Am I the only exception in Milton who would like to see our beautiful riverfront revitalized without the blight of bail bondmen, DUI class, home-release monitoring, probation offices and title companies?

The riverfront is Milton's ticket out of the malaise it is currently in.

Nobody visits a city for its lovely "felon district.” Can't we think bigger and better, Milton?

ON MILTON’S TRAFFIC

Bravo, Rob Johnstone, new Milton City Council and Honorable Mayor Meiss! Happy you let the public/Milton citizens know the truth — (there are) more options than ripping through the heart of beautiful, historical Milton!
