GULF BREEZE — Woodlawn Beach Middle School will hold Geeks Science Night for fifth- through 12th-grade girls and their families.
The event — 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the school — celebrates Girls Educating and Encouraging Knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Math. It will feature guest speakers and hands-on interactive displays.
Woodlawn Beach Middle School teacher Amy Cozart wrote a grant to make Geeks Science Night possible. The event features a red carpet, paparazzi and valets assisting students. Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick and other district leaders, decked out in black bow ties and crisp white shirts, will be valets.
