JAY — The Santa Rosa County Extension's annual row crop production meeting is set 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Jay Community Center, 5259 Booker Lane. The class is free to attend but requires pre-registration.
Speakers from the University of Florida, University of Georgia and government agencies will provide information on how to improve production on farms during the seminar.
Topics include:
- New herbicide traits integrated with management and application safety
- Nutrient management
- Disease control recommendations to reduce pesticide use
- Cotton and peanut variety updates
- Production practices to reduce pesticide use
- Feral hog control
Continuing education credits will be available for attendees. Lunch is provided.
