City sets boating-restricted areas

MILTON — The city of Milton has scheduled two boating-restricted areas during the Riverwalk Arts Festival.

Area 2C and 2D encompass a portion of the Blackwater River that is 500 feet from the north end of the Riverwalk boardwalk to 300 feet south of the CSX train trestle. The restrictions go into effect March 4 and 5 during the festival.

A boating-restricted area, in this case, means an area of state waters within which operation of vessels is subject to specified restrictions. The Riverwalk restriction is a slow speed minimum wake.
