MILTON — SAFER Santa Rosa, in partnership with Santa Rosa County, plans to hold its second Day of Service on May 6. Event organizers seek sponsors, projects and volunteers.
Employees, co-workers, friends and family can set aside this day to work together to improve local communities. Volunteers can submit a project early online for consideration; only representatives of organizations, not individuals, may submit projects. Organizers will match organizations with any necessary resources. For example, a small business might submit a road clean-up project but need more labor or a service group might submit a ramp building project but need materials.
Both individuals and teams of volunteers may register online to be paired with projects.
Sponsors, for materials and monetary donations, are necessary to fund resource-intensive projects. These sponsorship opportunities are available:
Gold ($1,000) sponsor: includes logo and name on T-shirts, event Facebook spotlight, SAFER Facebook spotlight, logo and link on website, recognition in media releases and sign for display
Silver ($500) sponsor: includes name on T-shirt, event Facebook spotlight, SAFER Facebook spotlight and logo and link on website
Bronze ($250) sponsor: includes event Facebook spotlight, SAFER Facebook spotlight and logo on website
More than 700 volunteers worked together on 23 community service projects for the first Santa Rosa Day of Service in 2016.
