NAVARRE — The Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society’s WoodStoke Pottery and Kiln Festival is set 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 at 7507 Buckeye Drive in Holley-Navarre.
Anagama and Ralph H. Phillips’ kiln openings are among scheduled activities, which the public can attend at no charge.
Art pieces will be available for sale, and festivities include a seafood and chili cook-off.
Event organizers suggest a $10 donation for a commemorative pottery bowl that allows you to sample all seafood dishes, gumbo, wood-fired pizza, chili and cornbread. You may vote for favorites in each division.
The pottery bowls, which contain clay from the historical Ralph Howard Phillips Southern Groundhog Kiln, are stamped with the seal used by Phillips and the Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society’s past firings.
All proceeds support the Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society, Santa Rosa County Retired Educators and the Navarre High School Clay Club.
