Kiwanis members enjoy excerpts from Bagdad-inspired novel

J. Richard Lewis is pictured receiving the Milton Pride tag holder from Bonnie Holt, president of Santa Rosa Sunrise Kiwanis. Lewis has authored many books; his latest, "Death in a Sawmill Town,” is about Bagdad and the sawmill industry. The novel covers information from the 1840s. Lewis read excerpts from the book, which is based on information he has gathered on the yellow pine industry and the local area. Sunrise Kiwanis meets every Wednesday at Tanglewood Golf Course, where all guests are served breakfast. Contact Lewis, 404-906-2840, to purchase the book. Special to the Press Gazette
