Highway Patrol: Careless driving leads to 4-car accident

NAVARRE — Tristan Jackson, 19, of Navarre is charged with careless driving after a four-car accident 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Jackson was driving a 2012 Chevy Equinox west on U.S. Highway 98 and failed to stop for traffic; he then hit the rear of a 2006 Jeep Cherokee with Felicia Hodge, 24, of Navarre, driving, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release.

The accident caused a chain reaction that pushed Hodge into the rear of a 2016 Toyota Corolla, with Taylor Schmidt, 26, of Gulf Breeze, driving; the Corolla then hit the rear of a 2012 Honda Pilot, with Jenifer Neely, 35, of Navarre, driving, according to the FHP.

All drivers were wearing seatbelts; there were no reported injuries, according to the FHP release.
