SANTA ROSA ART ASSOCIATION TO HOST WATERCOLOR ARTIST, WORKSHOP: 9 a.m. Jan. 28, Building 4900 of Pensacola State College’s Milton campus. Guest artist Heather Mitchell will demonstrate combining colored pencils with watercolor. The workshop begins at 10:30 a.m. Cost: $10 tuition for non-members. Participants should bring their own watercolor paints, water container, paintbrushes, paper towels and a pencil sharpener. Mitchell will provide smooth watercolor paper, a blow dryer and colored pencils. Details: 995-7056.

PENSACOLA CHILDREN’S CHORUS PRESENTS ‘ONE WORLD, MANY VOICES:’ 2:30 p.m. Feb. 26, Saenger Theatre, Pensacola. The concert, directed by Alex Gartner, will feature music from India, Australia, Puerto Rico and Finland, as well as several gospel, spiritual and American folk arrangements. This will be the first Children’s Chorus performance to feature the new Ambassador Choir and this year’s Choristers. This will also be the premiere of Andrea Ramsey’s “But Flint Holds Fire,” commissioned by PCC as part of the Chorus America Commission Consortium. It is a musical response to the ongoing water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Guest conductor Janet Galvan is the founder of the Ithaca Children’s Chorus and is known across the globe for her musicality and artistry.
