Mitchell will demonstrate creating an underpainting, and then will add details with colored pencil. She will bring several reference photos that participants can choose from or they may bring their own reference photo. She also will bring leaves, flowers and fruit.

Participants should bring their own watercolor paints, water container, paintbrushes, paper towels and a pencil sharpener. Participants are encouraged to bring colored pencils, but Mitchell also will provide some. In addition, she will provide smooth watercolor paper and a blow dryer.
