METRO ATLANTA — GoBlueGroup founder and author Sandy Blue announces the release of “Girl, Help Ain’t Coming,” the first in a series of seven non-fiction dramatic narratives.

Based on interviews with over 100 women, Blue’s texts explore common themes that haunt women across the globe. She unpacks the complexities and potential dejection of human relationships from the perspectives of specific women while offering resources to assist readers who may find themselves or someone they know facing similar tribulations. She begins with the story of CeCe, whose narrative evokes feelings of empathy, anger, sadness and joy.

The text will be available in paperback and Kindle, and you will be able to access excerpts from the text via podcasts on YouTube and Facebook.

After 21 years of marriage, author and educator Sandy Blue found herself as a divorced single parent and caregiver to seven children. Having lost her mother during the same period, Blue experienced firsthand the feeling of hopelessness, emotional exhaustion and desperation. However, not willing to accept her circumstances, Blue came to the realization that help was not coming and that she already possessed all she needed to succeed. As a result, she was able to improve her situation and is now pursuing a PhD.

Knowing the isolation that frequently accompanies emotionally traumatic experiences, Blue sought out other women for three years and conducted interviews to capture intimate firsthand accounts of circumstances that have broken women’s spirits.

She has also detailed their varied and sometimes dangerous coping mechanisms. Yet she leaves readers with hope as she provides a number of resources available in various communities to assist women in overcoming their circumstances.
