MILTON — Sheriff Bob Johnson officially succeeds Sheriff Wendell Hall.
Judge Robert Hilliard swore in Johnson as Santa Rosa County sheriff in a Tuesday morning ceremony at the Santa Rosa County auditorium.
Hall retired after 33 years in law enforcement and four consecutive terms as sheriff.
Johnson has previously stated he has been with the SRSO since 1993.
