Pace driver rear ends school bus

PACE — Seth Thomas Cumbie III, 35, rear-ended a Pace High School bus, this morning. Authorities reported no injuries. was traveling south on County Road 197-B (West Spencer Field Road). Vehicle-2 was traveling south on County Road 197-B (West Spencer Field Road) directly in front of Vehicle-1 carrying 27 children to Pace High School. Driver-1 of Vehicle-1 failed to maintain control of his vehicle, and the front of Vehicle-1 collided with the rear of Vehicle-2. No injuries were reported.

Cumbie, driving a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, was traveling south on West Spencer Field Road. William Eugene Cox, 47, driving the bus with 27 students, was traveling south directly in front of Cumbie to Pace High School. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, Cumbie failed to maintain control of his vehicle, and the front of his Jeep collided with the rear of the bus. 

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor, according to the report. Authorities cited Cumbie with careless driving.
