Dear editor,
The question, “Is alcohol worth it?” still remains. Someone close to me, a fine young man, lost his job, new home, wife, son and daughter in divorce because of choosing to drink.
He died alone and was found two days later.
A friend's only daughter was all dressed up as an angel for trick-or-treating at Halloween and was killed by a drunk driver.
My church covenant says abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drink as a beverage. Many a child has gone hungry, been abused, without proper clothing, shoes and care because a mother or father drinks.
I don't think we need a brewery so near our churches, nor will it enhance the historic district.
