MILTON — Here are the latest calls we received on Santa Rosa County issues.
DANGEROUS INTERSECTION
This is about the intersection at Glover and Hamilton Bridge at the Tom Thumb: That is a dangerous intersection … and it is also a connector from Highway 90 to Berryhill, which emergency vehicles, bus drivers and all kinds of vehicles go through there. They are going to the nursing home, the school, the hospital, the doctor’s office. It needs a traffic light there.
There are certain times during the days of the week there is a bunch of traffic that goes through there and it’s a dangerous place. About a month ago, someone ran across ahead of me. They couldn’t seem to know how to count to four, so I would just like to say that there needs to be a traffic light there.
People coming out from that Tom Thumb also come out in hurry.

JUST WONDERING
I was just wondering who is paying for all of these palm trees they are putting in East Milton along the road. They look good but it hadn’t been but a couple of years since the city got rid of all of them on the other side of town. I was just wondering if the city had anything to do with putting them over here.
