
PACE — Board-certified pediatrician Dr. Lalitha Vadlamani-Simmers has joined the medical staff of The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart and will see patients at the hospital’s Pediatric After-Hours, located at 4435 Highway 90 in Pace.
Vadlamani-Simmers graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Duke University, and she received her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Vadlamani-Simmers completed her internship and residency training in pediatrics through Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi.
She has served as medical director of pediatrics and medical supervisor for the allergy/immunotherapy clinic at Eglin Air Force Base Hospital. She worked in private practice in Niceville before joining White-Wilson Medical Center as a pediatrician, and she has served as a team physician for the child-protection team for Northwest Florida Comprehensive Services for Children Inc.
Before joining Sacred Heart, she served as field medical director over medical affairs and infectious diseases for AstraZeneca’s southeast United States territory.
While in medical school, she was heavily involved in Student Government Association, where she held the leadership roles of president and class president. She has served as clinical mentor and professor for Niceville High School’s senior internship program, the University of South Alabama’s College of Nursing and the Florida State University’s College of Medicine. She is a member of IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida and a volunteer for Cancer Freeze.
