MILTON — Lawmen are investigating a death at Gulf Cable LLC on Industrial Boulevard in East Milton.
Ted Fitzgerald, a regional director for the U.S. Department of Labor public affairs, said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Jacksonville office was notified of the death on Tuesday.
In an email, Fitzgerald said an OSHA inspector was dispatched to the scene on the same day. Few details about what happened are available at this time.
"The incident is under review and our thoughts and prayers are with the family," Kevin Bate, president of Wind Turbine and Energy Cables Corp., a parent company of Gulf Cable, said in a statement.
