GULF BREEZE — A man is dead following a Monday evening traffic accident.
Michael Edward Magana, 31, was traveling east in a 2015 GMC Acadia around 8 p.m. on U.S. Highway 98, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release.
Edward O'Brien Pursell, 58, was running in the bike lane on the roadway’s south side. Magana entered the turn lane to turn right onto Village Parkway, striking Pursell.
Alcohol did not contribute to the accident and charges are pending, according to the release. The Acadia received around $1,500 in damage.
