MILTON — Milton High School Flight Academy students visited Naval Air Station Whiting Field during the base's 26th annual fleet fly-in.

MHS Flight Academy instructor Scott Erickson said he brought 38 flight students out to gain perspective on the professionalism it takes to be a pilot.

The event gives flight students the opportunity to fly different fleet helicopters "as they prepare to make career decisions on the aircraft they would like to fly, geographic locations and mission requirements,” Whiting Field Public Information Officer Jay Cope said.
