MILTON — Martial Arts America on Oct. 8 hosted its third and final martial arts tournament of 2016 at Skateland Arena.

Catering to over 260 competitors, with ages ranging from 4 to 42, the day was charged with excitement. And with 94 divisions, including Traditional Kata, Creative Forms/Weapons and sparring exhibitions, the competition floor was abuzz with high emotions and eager competitors.

“For over 25 years” Chief Instructor Steve Butts said, “we have been hosting our in-school tournaments. It’s a great opportunity for our students to step out of their comfort zone and have friendly competition. We believe it helps to issue a new challenge, and new challenges bring new opportunities for success.”

Martial Arts America has three martial arts schools in Santa Rosa County and hosts  over 950 students including those at Flippin’ Out Gymnastics.

Its main objective is to instill confidence and help others reach goals.
