Sonny Lee Scallion, a 48-year-old Milton man, has been convicted by a Santa Rosa County jury of two counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation, both on a victim younger than 12.
The child was between 5 and 7 years old, according to a news release from the State Attorney's Office. The abuse was originally reported to the Crestview Police Department and the case was subsequently investigated by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department.
Scallion faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 8.
