MILTON — The former Lou Sobh’s Milton Chevrolet is now Sandy and Bubba’s Milton Chevrolet, named after new owners Sandy Sansing and professional golfer and Bagdad native Bubba Watson.

The men introduced their newly acquired dealership to the public this week.

Collaborating with Sansing is the latest business undertaking for Watson, a nine-time Professional Golfers Association tour winner. In addition to having ownership in the Pensacola Blue Wahoos baseball team, Watson co-owns Bubba’s Sweet Spot in downtown Pensacola.

“I have always dreamed of businesses,” Watson said. “As I started doing okay on the tour, I started wasting money on cars.”

One of those cars is the original 1969 ‘General Lee’ Dodge Charger from TV’s “The Dukes of Hazzard.”

While Watson said he would regularly make appearances at the dealership, the Milton High School alumnus said he would leave daily operations to the Sandy Sansing Automotive Group management.

Sansing said he is confident in how the business will operate.

“(Lou Sobh) has built a beautiful, wonderful team of teammates and we have kept just about every one of them,” he said. “We are going to add more jobs so there is a positive for that.”

Watson said you can expect more community involvement from the dealership.

“This community means everything to me,” he said. “The people here who have owned the dealership before, the workers and the people involved with the community have helped put on events and sponsor events, so I want to do the same thing.”
