NAVARRE — The Navarre Chamber's Small Business Development Committee will host a Munch and Learn Workshop 11:30 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Navarre Chamber, 8543 Navarre Parkway.
Billy Sasser, protective security adviser for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Office of Infrastructure, will present the workshop.
The department will encourage businesses and organizations to connect, plan, train and report. Applying these four steps in advance of an incident or attack can help businesses and their employees to proactively think about the role they play in their businesses and communities’ safety and security.
During the meeting, Santa Rosa County Sheriff-elect Bob Johnson will answer questions about how local law enforcement can assist your business or organization in planning and exercising for emergencies.
Santa Rosa County Emergency Management Plans Chief Citizens Corps Coordinator Daniel Hahn is responsible for overseeing all county disaster exercises, reviewing emergency plans for hospitals and schools and creating disaster plans.
