NAVARRE — Holley Navarre Intermediate school will hold its first color run to fund computers and playground equipment. Registration is at 8 a.m. with the run starting 9 a.m. Oct. 1 at 1936 Navarre School Road.
The goal is to raise $60,000 for a new playground and supplement needed computers for the school to have a 2-to-1 student-to-computer ratio.
Food and drink vendors will be onsite. (These include Warrior Wagon, Kona Ice and Bottled Water.) A dance party with disc jockey is planned before and after the run.
All sales are tax deductible (You will receive an email receipt to submit with your taxes.) All young participants must be accompanied by an adult.
No pets are allowed, but strollers are welcome. Run, walk or stroll.
Parking will be overseen by the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office, school and volunteers. A parking plan will be posted closer to run date.
Roads will not be blocked, but runners are anticipated to run 9-10:30 a.m. There will be a multitude of volunteers and police presence to ensure everyone's safety.
