Milton High sets marching band festival

MILTON — The 1st Blackwater Classic Marching Band Festival is Oct. 1 at Milton High School’s Haywood Hanna Panther Stadium.

The event will feature 15 high school marching bands from Northwest Florida and Alabama. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. with the event ending around 10:15 p.m. Admission is $7 per person.

Bands scheduled to perform include:

Alabama Christian Academy — Montgomery

Booker T. Washington High School — Pensacola

Chipley High School — Chipley

Choctawhatchee High School — Fort Walton Beach

Escambia High School — Pensacola

Foley High School — Foley

Gulf Breeze High School — Gulf Breeze

Jay High School — Jay

Milton High School — Milton

Navarre High School — Navarre

Pine Forest High School — Pensacola

Rutherford High School — Panama City

J.M. Tate High School — Pensacola

Walton High School — Defuniak Springs

West Florida High School — Pensacola

More than 1,800 high school musicians will demonstrate their talents and work ethic by performing their 2016 halftime shows.
