JAY — Author Farrah Stewart in October will release the hardback edition of her new children’s book, “The Healthy Little Plate.”
“The book is about a plate who is trying to dress herself in an array of foods to become healthy but doesn’t know where to start,” a Tate Publishing and Enterprises media release states. “So what does she do? Ask Mr. Fork for help of course. Together, they fashion Ms. Healthy Plate to make her as healthy as she can be, and she feels great!”
Stewart, who holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in food science and nutrition, is a registered dietitian, licensed dietitian/nutritionist and certified specialist in sport dietetics. She serves as the nutrition educator and dietitian for government programs such as Women, Infants and Children, Head Start and the U.S. Air Force and Families.
The book — which teaches the USDA’s Healthy Plate campaign in a fun, interactive, story-like manner — is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
