NAVARRE — The Navarre Garden Club’s general membership meeting, which begins the group’s new year, is Sept 6.
The event is 9 a.m. at The Club at Hidden Creek, 3070 PGA Blvd.
Guest speakers are a part of each general meeting. A program by Tess Miller, from the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center, will begin at approximately 9:20 a.m.
Miller, environmental educator and birds of prey handler, will speak on the topic, “Biophilia: Effecting Positive Change through Nature Education.”
Many activities for members are scheduled throughout September. Members may participate in the Green Thumb plant sales, an arts and crafts group, floral design group and a horticulture study group.
