GULF BREEZE — Sacred Heart Health System broke ground on an 8,000-square-foot pediatric facility at the corner of Gulf Breeze Parkway and Daniel Street, across the road from Panera Bread in Gulf Breeze. The facility is expected to open in 2017.
Sacred Heart Health System is a member of Ascension, the largest non-profit health system in the U.S. and the world’s largest Catholic health system.
The facility will bring these new pediatric services to the Gulf Breeze community:
●Outpatient pediatric rehabilitation: Including physical, occupational, speech and food-aversion therapies
●Autism Center outreach: Direct, individualized applied behavior analysis therapy
●Diagnostic services: X-ray capabilities
The existing Sacred Heart Medical Group pediatric practice in Gulf Breeze that consists of Dr. Brandy Boutin, Dr. Robin Renfroe and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Dana Wert will relocate to the new building when it opens. Pediatrician Dr. Jessica Tate will also join the practice, bringing increased availability of pediatric care to Gulf Breeze.
“Our goal is to bring the highest quality of pediatric care, that Sacred Heart is known for, closer to the communities we serve so that more children can get the specialized medical expertise they need,” said Susan Davis, president and CEO of Sacred Heart Health System. “This pediatric care center will be a tremendous resource for the families of Gulf Breeze, and we are so excited to grow our presence in this great community.”
Sacred Heart Pediatric Care Center at Gulf Breeze is backed by The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart, Northwest Florida’s only hospital solely dedicated to the care of sick and injured babies and children.
