MILTON — A Milton resident recently met with Congressman Jeff Miller’s staff to advocate for more diabetes research in the fiscal 2017 budget.
Stanley Harper met with Sheilah Bowman, Miller’s district director, and Tiffany J. Bates, district representative, about supporting increased funding for the National Institutes of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to promote research on the metabolic disease.
The discussions “were very informative and covered many areas concerning both Type I and Type II individuals living with diabetes,” Harper said.
