Choral Society of Pensacola holds auditions at PSC August 6

PENSACOLA – The Choral Society of Pensacola invites all singers high school age and older to audition at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, at Pensacola State College’s Ashmore Center, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus, 1000 College Blvd.

The brief, informal auditions begin with a short written quiz to gauge musical knowledge, followed by a private session with artistic director/conductor Xiaolun Chen to determine vocal range. No preparation is necessary.

Rehearsals are at 7 p.m. on Mondays beginning Aug. 15 at the Ashmore Center.

The Choral Society’s fall season includes “Made in America,” an eclectic program ranging from traditional folk tunes to musical theatre numbers, Thursday, Nov. 3; and Handel’s “Messiah,” the traditional holiday concert, Saturday, Dec. 3.

The Choral Society of Pensacola is a community of volunteer singers sponsored in part by Pensacola State College.
