1. SHRED IT. The Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Shred-it, will destroy any personal unneeded documents during its first Shred-A-Thon. The event is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at two locations in Santa Rosa County. Visit the K-Mart parking lot, 6050 U.S. Highway 90 in Milton, or the Santa Rosa County Annex parking lot, 5841 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Gulf Breeze. Whether shredding old check stubs, credit cards or receipts, residents are limited to three copy-paper sized boxes. Contact Kim Purvis at kpurvis@srso.net for more information.
