NAS Whiting Field celebrates 73rd birthday with WWII veteran

MILTON — World War II and Korean War veteran, Eugene “Red” James, helped commemorate 73 years of Naval Air Station Whiting Field’s operation in an informal ceremony, Thursday, at the atrium building.

Members of James’ family joined him from children to great-grandchildren. Memorabilia James collected through the years was on display covering his own career as well as the history of NAS Whiting Field.
