JAY – The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office this afternoon identified two female victims in a Jay shooting. Barbara Wolfe was pronounced deceased on scene. Kimberly Horne was transported via helicopter to a trauma center. She has since been discharged from the hospital.
Christopher Warrick, 57, of Jay is currently being held without bond pending first appearance in relation to the shooting.
PREVIOUS COVERAGE: The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office has identified the suspect in the shootings of two people in a Jay home on Monday.
According to SRSO Public Information Officer, Sgt. Rich Aloy, the suspect in custody is Christopher Warrick, 57. Aloy said Warrick was at the scene of the shootings when deputies arrived at around 12:45 p.m.
Warrick was booked at 7:05 p.m. and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The names of the victims and any relation they may have to each other or to Warrick was being withheld pending notification of the victims' next of kin, Aloy said.
