MILTON — Boy Scout Skyler Flynn, with assistance from Pensacola's Boy Scout Troop 3, has completed a yearlong Eagle Scout project benefiting the ARC of the Emerald Coast in Milton.
Throughout the project, Skyler has rebuilt or refurbished many elements of the ARC's garden center.
For instance:
●He redesigned and rebuilt a destroyed shade area
●Rebuilt new planting tables within the greenhouse
●Built freestanding portable planting tables for use outside the greenhouse, as well as plant stands and a storage shed entrance deck.
The project’s final phase will consist of replacing the tattered plastic covering the greenhouse along with a general landscaping of the facility grounds in preparation for the ARC's annual Blueberry Bash fund-raising festival that is scheduled to be held on June 25.
