LETTER: Orlando tragedy teaches us to choose the greatest love

Dear editor,

Regarding the Orlando tragedy, an area journalist says, “Choose love.” In my opinion, recommending the greatest demonstration of love — Jesus Christ’s sacrificial love, which heals all wounds — is the one to choose.

Only God knows if there is any family untouched by this lifestyle of loved ones or friends. The sympathy, empathy and donations confirm there are among us compassionate, caring, generous Americans — praise God!

Though sometimes ridiculed, the love of Christ compels us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our life is but a vapor — here today, gone tomorrow. So says the greatest book ever written, never to be superseded.

Eschatological signs are accelerating. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and everlasting life! Their love of Christ keeps Bible (believers) keeping on; time is of the essence!

San Bernardino, Orlando, et al. demand it! We are safe only in the arms of Jesus! He loves all more than anyone else ever could! We are special and precious to Him.

Being ready to meet our maker, it matters not when or where we depart this life. We’ll rise again, Hallelujah!

God bless us all as only He can. Maranatha!
