Dear editor,
The prior named ‘Republican establishment’ has now been exposed. Thank you, Mr. Trump.
We all can now see that the party of NO is an ineffective approach to solving problems.
We can all see that Republicans who felt that just pointing fingers and blaming would suffice, were just really wasting their time on meaningless gestures.
Mr. Trump, your rise proved that establishment Republicans were becoming a joke to the Republicans who wanted to make a difference. Republicans wanted to be on the front line affecting results.
Mr. Trump, you energized those Republicans of the Reagan type to get off the couch and make a difference. That part was really good — to wake up a force that could make a difference if they were ‘in action’ and moving.
Becoming the presumptive nominee finalized the Republican call to arms, and put you clearly in the spotlight.
Then, Mr. Trump, we expected you to show all of us your traits of integrity, and wisdom, and character and patience among others, as we began to dissect you in that spotlight you attained.
We wanted to confirm that as a Republican leader we would all be proud to call you our Mr. President.
But, Mr. Trump, you personally don’t have those traits. You are still like the kid in the crib, throwing the toys out on the floor, crying until you get your way, and blaming everyone else for all the problems you see.
You explode quickly; you don’t think much before you react; you don’t apologize or say you’re sorry; you’re never wrong and you have no intelligent peers.
So, I’m not able to take the Paul Ryan approach and kiss your posterior.
I applaud you on accomplishing your mission, but now I have to think about who to vote for as an American leader.
Wow, tough year for me.
