Dear editor,
I don’t know about “Black Lives Matter.” I do know all lives matter to Almighty God, Creator, and His “born again” believers.
A courageous, competent black judge presided when Officer (Edward) Nero was declared “not guilty.” Thank God the judge was led by facts and law unlike the prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby. She rushed to file charges politicizing the issue by listening to the voice of the people. Many are sick and tired of those claiming “racism” when events occur nationwide …
If ever we needed to plead the blood of Jesus over all law enforcement personnel, it is now. It should have been since the Ferguson and Baltimore tragedies.
If I’m not mistaken, Freddie Gray was arrested 19 times (many of which were) for drug dealing. The city of Baltimore agreed to pay $6.4 million to the Gray family — for what?
… Freddie Gray died — a tragedy indeed. … (But) How many lives were destroyed by his drug dealing? Until hearts are changed by the new birth, violence will continue, so will radical groups, sad to say.
Going into law enforcement is a calling, in my opinion. Most, if not all, care about serving and protecting people as are EMT, fire department personnel, et al.
Annually, our sheriff’s department honors all deceased law enforcement personnel. For years I’ve attended those moving ceremonies. Escambia County recently honored theirs.
Pray for all serving our communities.
God bless us all, as only He can. Maranatha!
